  1. Must be faster than one hour.

    If a helicopter travels 60miles how long will it take to get there, is I think what he's asking.

  2. Depends on the helicopter.

    If you are in a Westland Lynx, if you push it really hard and nothing breaks down, one hour later you will be 200 miles away.

    In the same Lynx, if you are on full throttle, you would be 60 miles away in 18 minutes.

  3. There is many different times for each Helicopter.

    Try http://www.wikipedia.org, and type in the helicopter type, from there get the airspeed.

    Remember:

    Time =Distance / Speed

    Distance = Speed * Time

    Speed = Distance / Time

    Put the airspeed, and the distance in, and you'll find your time.

  4. a helicopter cannot travel faster than 22mph (theoretically) because as one rotor goes back it creates drag and the other one looses its lift because of the speed and so for some reason or something like that, about 220 mph is approximately the limit

  5. The linx is the fastest helo in the world it goes 249 mph it is believed that no conventional helicopter will ever do much faster than this because of the way the propellers lift the air craft 250 is believed to be the fastest a helicopter can ever go

  6. One hour?

  7. The fastest production helicopter will be the Sikorsky X-2,just unveiled at Heli Expo - It will exeed all previously set speed records and top out over 250 KNOTS
