soooo with the fourth of july being today, i'm planning on making some dry ice bombs, woohoo!

i made some yesterday and i bought about 6 pounds of it, and put it in a cooler

i'm planning on buying more today and pretty soon because last year it was all sold out because people had the same idea

so if i were to put it into a cooler how long would i have till it's all gone?

maybe a styrofoam cooler?

cause i don't want to buy it and have it be gone in like 5 hours w/ out using it, ha

  1. Actually a very complex question.

You should ask the people in the chemistry section.

Dry ice (solid CO2) sublimates and very cool temperatures. Its rate of increase of sublimation to a gas increases with an increase of temp.

Keep in a cooler/keep in shade/keep in a freezer if you can/insulate it with towels

    Ask chemistry people.
