they cruise at 186mph.. but have regularly broken the 200mph barrier... and have been known to hit 218mph en-route to paris...

Eurostar Trains travel at 100mph inside the Channel Tunnel and from London Waterloo to Fawkham Junction (near Gravesend in Kent).

From Fawkham Junction to the Channel Tunnel, and on the entire French and Belgian sides it's up to 186mph.

When Section 2 of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link opens next year and trains run to and from London St Pancras International, the entire route (apart from inside The Channel Tunnel) will be 186mph.

In the UK they travel about 140mph along the new Channel Tunnel Rail Link Lines, but once in France & Belgium they travel at 300kph (which I do not know in MPH!)
