How fast does my SD Card have to be?

To take pictures and lots of video with an 8MP camera, how fast should my SD card be? Is this Sandisk fast enough?

Or should I pay extra for the Sandisk Ultra? I just don't want to be stuck with something that limits my camera (especially the video).

  1. It doesn't really matter, it's not like it's going to make your camera shoot faster, and increase the frame rate. The difference is literally un-noticeable. It doesn't matter which speed card you get. Trust me, stick with the 2GB card, you'll be able to shoot a lot of video with that. Also, the speed doesn't give you more video, the storage capacity does. Understand?

  2. sandisk should work fine. each memory card details its transfer rate. the difference is not very much. a few seconds here and there at most. if you can spare a few seconds save the money. if you have the money pay for the few second or two difference go for it.
