How fast does standard UPS ground deliver things?

well, the warehouse is in the Los Angeles area, and i live in San Jose, in the bay area.

all the products on the website i ordered from said "usually ships in 1-2 business days" next to the "add to cart" button, but doesn't say what shipping method

then when i actually ordered the thing, the shipping method options include UPS ground, UPS 3 day select, UPS air etc. but i chose UPS ground.

im asking this b/c i fly off to vacation in 5 days, and i dont want to miss the delivery

depends on how far u live from the distribution hub.  my advice is you try and call them ask them to hold it as your local distribution hub. usually near the major airport. that should save u a day, maybe more. usually takes 3 to 5 days if they say 1 to 2 days.
