My father bought a small Sunfire Neptune, center console, 15 ft. It has a 50 Horse Johnson Outboard. He bought it for crabbing because of the small size, and I'm wondering if I can horse around with it too?

I know the boat can get above 20, but not sure it can get up to 15mph - 20mph fats enough.

  1. only about 15 mph or 10 knots

  2. to get up on a knee board is super slow, maybe 12-13 mph. once up 50-100 lbs needs maybe 14 mph, 100-150 lb might need 16 mph over that 18 mph should do it.
