If it's 6/8 time, as in a time signature, it is the equivalent of 3/4 time (obviously) but with twice as many beats per measure -- 6-- and an 8th note gets one count.

The speed is not determined by the time signature. A 6/8 beat means that each measure is made up of six beats and each beat would be represented by an eight-note. In a 6/8 time signature, the first beat would get the emphasis, with a medium emphasis on the fourth beat. All other beats would be considered week. a six eight beat is not usually really fast. It is considered the "march" beat. It is at a steady beat like the same as when you would take a step.

lol... cool! is it the WTAMU camp? b/c i was about to go there... anyway... it's the same as 3/4 beat. it's just like 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3... and so onnnn and onnn. it depends on how fast ur tempo is.
