  1. Is dolphin fishing even legal? There is a reason they have "Dolphin safe" notices on tuna cans! They are trying to lessen the amount of dolphins that get caught in fishing nets during trawling and fishing.

  2. First for those who think we're talking about "FLIPPER": THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF ANIMALS CALLED "DOLPHIN."

ONE is the kind you can swim with and see perform routines at Sea World. That is the mammal "dolphin." That one you can't fish for. It's illegal. That's not the one we're talking about.

There is also a FISH called a "dolphin" that you CAN catch. They also go by the name "Mahi Mahi." They're bright green, yellow and blue.

This answers all the previous concerns and questions about "catching dolphin."

And I agree with stop makin cents. Troll at 5 - 10 mph. Try trolling a white or green jig with a bally-hoo.

    Good luck!

  3. Can you even or why would you fish for dolphin???

  4. 5-10 MPH is about average. Also, try "drifting" a live sardine or pogey. Look for "weed-lines" and "clear" water.

And for all those people who think we are fishing for "Dolphin's"; there is a fish called Mahi-Mahi, Dorado, and "dolphin". We are not fishing for "mammal" type "dolphin".
