  1. I used to have Piaggio BV200 (same engine with Vespa 200cc), top speed is around 75-80 mph, very good engine. If you are looking for 60 mph, the 200cc engine will not be a problem.

  2. IF YOU GET ON A 60+MPH ROAD WITH ANYTHING DRIVEN BY A 200CC ENGINE AND/OR A SCOOTER YOU DESERVE WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU

it's really really stupid so don't do it, your inconveniencing everyone else around you and putting yourself at risk, just buy a real motorcycle and it won't be a problem!

  3. Most vespas that are not antiques or classics will do 60, but not most of the small frame Vespas.  The 250ie(actually 234) and the latest 300 gt (actually 278cc) would be capable of 80 mph and can maintain 70 mph up some steep hills. I would not go below the 250cc engine, if I were you.

  4. My 125cc tops out at about 60MPH.... You should have no problem with 70-75MPH
