How fast would a 15 foot 1993 Boston Whaler Dauntless go?

Question

With a 40 hp outboard? Would it go faster than a 13 foot 1984 Boston Whaler Super Sport with a 30 Hp on it? How fast would the 13 foot go and how fast would the 15 foot go? Please give me the answer in mph.

Since both have build in hull speeds 20 to 25>which means the back of the hull has a hook like trim tabs to push the bow down so the more HP the more it plows the water and steering is hard> To over come this the bottom has to be figerglassed 20" from the back forward chim to chime flat> Then it will fly> I had the 13 with a 50 hp jack plate it run 50 mph and would pull 2 skiers>Scary>

27 MPH and 31 MPH.

ok, I just made that up.  They'll both max out somewhere in the 21 to 32 mph range.

actual speed depends on engine mounting height, propeller choice, weather conditions, weight & balance and proficiency of the operator.
