  1. The desruction of our homes is proceding at an accelerating pace. The overrbreedsing is doing it. So, as usual, the delusions are the destroyers.

  2. Very fragile. The conditions on this planet which permitted the evolution of mammalian and human life are very specific and it would not take much to change them to the extent that we would become extinct . Phenomena like a major meteor strike or global warming continuing at its present rate for the next 100 years or so for example. And widespread nuclear war. The destruction of the ecosystems on which we depend - which is already happening - coupled with ballooning  worldwide population is another risk factor.

But psychogically, I think the human race is very resilient.

  3. If you drop a truck on one, there is a big squishing sound.  But if an ant tries to take one down, the human often pays no heed.  I have seen words bring a human down.

So, it depends on what basis you ask.

  4. Individual human beings are very fragile. Think of huge disasters that stroke, strike and will strike in the future. Millions can disappear in hours.

But when you look at the human race; humans are very flexible; the race is not fragile. You can think of the most terrible disaster, and there will always be people who survive and adapt to new circumstances. This is essential to human beings.

Darwin: "It's not the strongest or most intelligent species that survive; it is the one most adaptable to change"

  5. VERY!! i have a broken paper heart!!

  6. We are very fragile. But compared to other animals on earth, we are about the same. But I think overall, we humans are a weak species both physically and mentally. We humans can't control ourselves and soon our resources are in a slow decline

  7. Not at all. We are the first living organism capable of changing the environment to suit us - or create our own environment where we please.

  8. very

  9. Not very, when was the last time you heard of the human race being designated as endangered or nearing extinction?  We're at the top of the food chain and the only thing that is going to extinguish us is ourselves or some huge meteorite bashing into the earth.

  10. very fragile; our mind which makes us stronger than other animals who might prey on us is our weakest link. I in four of us, 25% have a psychological weakness exacerbated by the demands of an ever complex society that we construct.

It is also pretty mad of us to ignore global warming and to be globally conscious, having our 'windows on the world' but not globally responsible.

The human construct of social status would seem to have made us uncompassionate about ourselves  as a species.

I think we are weak willed to have spoiled our own nest and still be hanging on to status rather than trying to join with others in cleaning it up
