How frequent and how large were the meal sizes that people ate before '3 meals a day' became the norm

  1. Frequency=3........size= 3times what it is today.


  2. Example:  A tuna salad sandwich was made on two regular slices of bread just like you would do at home.  If you had fries, they were like a small order.  Coke, etc, was served in a 10-12 ounce glass.  If a person wanted to pig out, they just ordered more.

    I wonder just how much America's weight problem is related to what is now considered to be a "normal" sized meal.  It's ridiculous.

  3. It really depends on what part of the country or world you were from and how much money you had.
