How get ssn for an international student

i know that the best way to get a social security number for an international student is to get a job on campus, but my question is there any other way that a foreign student can get a ssn? any other reason?or any exception?. Because i have been looking for job on campus but nothing yet

International students can not legacy get a ssn. You can work on campus in a work study job. There's a chance you can do an off campus internship, but that will count against the time you can stay in the US for training after you graduate.
