  1. All the slope/rating of the course is .. is all part of how the course is judged and how you get a handicap if any for that course. Im assuming the 70.7 is the rating of the course. i bet the slope is some where around 133 or 132...  The par on this course your talking about is prolly more then likely a 71.. 93 for your first time if you played true golf and took your strokes is not bad. You can fool yourself very quick by giving yourself the wrong score for example if you hit in the trees and lose your ball.. you gotta take a drop which results in the loss of a stroke.. say it was your drive you would be hitting 3 instead of 2 .. there fore your giving your self a stroke... but if you shot a true 93 good job and keep it up..hope i helpd out and explaind a little on the whole slope and course rating

  2. you would be of an handicap of 25

  3. 93 is phenomenal for your first round.  Do you know the rules?  Did you count all your strokes?  Keep at it, you will love the game more and more the better you get.

  4. A lot of the people who answered you are idiots.  You are referring to the rating, not the slope.  70.7 is average for a 6000-63000 yard course.  93 is a good score.  People who say 93 is an average score should point out that it is average for people who play golf regularly, not all people who play golf.  If you can shoot in the bogey-golf range, you are in the 10 to 15% bracket of all golfers.  Ask a PGA pro about this and they should tell you the same thing.  Be very weary of the people who answer in this group.  Most of them have no idea what they are talking about.

  5. average score is around 96-100. so ure not bad in the world of golfers.   rating of 70.7 means thats what a scratch golfer would shoot.  must be an easy course?

  6. That is fine. Make sure you count all the strokes, add the penalty shots when required, all putts into the hole( no gimmies) and no mulligans ( do-overs). If that was how you scored the 93, keep it up.

  7. 93 is not too bad of a score for your first time.:)

  8. I don't believe that I have ever played a course with a sloop rating of 70.7.  Was this a miniature golf course?

Try a course with a sloop rating of about 130 and then ask the question again, if needed.

  9. keep practicing

    keep playing

and dont worry how good you are.....yet

  10. You are actually really really average.  what course was this you were playing because with that kind of rating I believe I could have a scorecard to frame for once.
