I know some are almost impossible to detect, but do they do good on the playability and performance aspect too? I saw some pictures of counterfeit Scotty Cameron putter, and it looks exactly like the real thing. I had a counterfeit 5i Mizuno MX-25 in my hand, and I own original Mizuno MX-25 and I couldnt tell the diference. But do they play as good as the real ones? Asking anyone who got counterfeit golf clubs and then find out they were fakes..

  1. It's really impossible to say. Some may be just as good, others may be complete junk. That's the risk you take because there is no "manufacturer" associated with the club. I'd recommend purchasing slightly used clubs unless you're prepared to take the chance that you're throwing money away.

  2. If you are talking about true counterfeit clubs the average golfer would never know the difference between the two.  The only people who will ever truly detect it are people who shape their balls when they hit them.  When I was in Korea I had a chance to hit the counterfeit and real ones side by side.  To be honest the only difference I saw was about 5 yards less distance from the counterfeit ones as opposed to the real ones.

  3. I think the most important part is to get shafts that match your clubhead speed.  I've always bought used name brand clubs off ebay fairly inexpensive, but I've hit replicas that are just as good.  The problem with a lot of amateurs is that they don't get the proper shafts.  You might also want to get the loft and lie adjusted.

  4. i got some clubs from diamond tour golf or whatever it was

they were fakes of $1000 callaway irons, but i really like them

theyre great and not c**p or anything and i was really skeptical before i bought them too

i also got to choose the shaft and everything and my final purchase was about $149

  5. I know for a fact that Scotty Cameron fakes aren't good. I put with a Circa 62 and have putted with fakes. They aren quite as heavy and dont have milling on the face. They just don't roll as good.

  6. how good are counterfeit anything?  They look real but are made with less quality.  Golf clubs  also. I have a friend that bot counterfeit clubs off Ebay but when the driver broke he had no recourse.  If you cannot afford new real clubs check out used.  You will have better quality clubs and feel better about it.

  7. I've had 2 sets, I've also had a set of the real deal. I bought the "fakes" after my set of real $2300 irons... and I bought another set of counterfeits when it was time to get new clubs again... what does that tell you?
