How good are HP laptops?

Question

I'm considering buying a HP laptop.

120 hard drive space

2 GB ram.

not sure of the rest. any opinions?

HP's and Compaq's are some good-branded laptops you should try to stay away from. They are built with a defect which causes them to overheat quickly, these symptoms may not be shown until later use (a few months to maybe a year).

But if you are really keen, you should go ahead and buy it.

HP Laptops are very good, I am using one for the past one year,

There is only one issue with HP Laptops - It heats up pretty fast.
