Can most educated adults with full scale or average down syndrome perform triple digit addition & subtraction relatively

easy?

  1. No, not easily at least.

    the effects of Down Syndrome are different on every individual, so it would depend on their capability level...

    My brother has Dwon Syndrome and he's 18, he can do tiple digit addition and subtraction but he needs help with it..like you have to tell him, 'now subtract these ones'.

    hope that helps, sorry my experience with my brother and his other friends are my only source.

    Just went to a seminar by this group and learned that in Italy a teacher is teaching algebra to kids with Down syndrome. So the potential is there, it's just learning how to teach them.
