  1. thats actually pretty good considering that anything over 2000 is acceptable for some Ivys.

i'd take it over again if i were you though,

only if this is your first or even second try.

  2. I don't know your grade or gpa or any other information, but they would be definitely fine for a public university and a lot of smaller private ones. If your gpa is really high, you needn't worry as much about your SAT score.

Remember, many colleges won't mix and match scores from different test dates. If you are a junior and would like to improve your score, you may want to get a book on the SAT (my local library has lots of them) and just review sample reading/writing MC questions. your math score is fine. If you are tenth grade and below, and this is for a summer program, you are probably fine.

  3. Unlike what the last person said, 2000 does not "qualify" you for the Ivys. They are immensely difficult to get into without a legacy or without brilliant and long-standing activities. I would not count the essay score, since most good colleges still don't count it seriously (too new), and figure you got a 1420 out of 1600 -- very good, you should be proud! Try again just to give yourself an opportunity to bring up the reading comp score. Your math is excellent!
