How good are the pirastro gold violin strings?

I buy the pirastro gold strings for violin, and i would like to know if they are good. My violin brand is "skylark" (china).

  1. The Pirastro Gold strings are excellent, but they wear out very quickly. If you're going to get them, I suggest buying in bulk because you will need to change them almost every other month.

    The way to tell when you need to change the strings is to play an open string, and if the pitch of the note goes up or down, then the sound is false and you will need to change the string.

    I use the Pirastro Gold E-string. I buy like twelve at a time so I can change them frequently and not have to worry about running out. For the rest of my strings, I use Thomastik-Infeld Dominant strings.
