How good are the speakers in the dell studio 15?

Can anyone tell me how good the speakers of the studio 15 are . I do not need speakers that are the greatest, just good enough to listen to music and watch tv shows in itunes.

Well the Dell Studio is the latest laptop from the Dell and its fast moving laptop. The internal speakers should be good and any average user!

I own the dell studio 15 and the speakers are a bit quiet. If you are in itunes or some other music program turn up the computer volume as loud as possible then turn up the sound in the program itself. it will make it louder.

The Dell studio 15 speakers are not good at all and are among the cheapest speakers a laptop can have. You will notice significant drop in sound quality when you listen to music with high frequency, such as piano: you hear something is vibrating and making extra and annoying noise! This is in addition to the lower quality due to the lack of bass.

I first called Dell about this problem and they replaced the speakers but that did not resolve the issue, plus the backlighting feature of the keyboard stop working after that! I tested a Dell studio 15 at Best Buy and it had the same problem although less. Other laptops including Dell inspiron were better. So I conclude that all studio laptops have this problem.

It is very sad that I paid over $1100 for this laptop and I liked the design and especially the screen (backlighting LED option) but the speakers' quality was a big turnoff. Dell should have spent couple of more dollars to place better pair of speakers.
