How good could I get at latin dancing?

Hypothetical situation:

A 19 year old starts a beginners salsa class with no dancing experience. If he works hard, and keeps going for like 5 years, how good can he get?

Let's put it this way, the last instructor who joined our team had been dancing for 7 years, with no previous experience. Does that tell you something?

It depends on many factors, but natural ability certainly be a huge help. Everything else apart from that you can learn, assuming you have motivation.

Depending on the dancers in your area and state, you may even be good enough to compete.

Hypothetically speaking of course.
