How good do you have to be to be in a 15-16 yr. old compotition for snowboarding, READ BELOW?

Due Tahoe is brutal! i entered the teen competition when i was a few years younger and i got demolished, and i'm an uncommonly talented snowboarder(not to brag, i've been told this on numerous occasions).

But if you have the skill, try a misty flip, like that girl above said, they are wicked, and should get some attention.

Hate to break it to you but the kids in Tahoe in that age group slay it. I have seen 9's thrown down and win. Also on rails you need to be able to dance your way down the rail with combos in order to place in that field. Jonny Laz? heard that name? he was in that age group last year and he didn't always win but none the less he kills it. Not to dash your hopes and dreams but the kids up here ride everyday and have coaches to help them with tricks. If you can afford it I would try and find a freestyle program at a mountain that you enjoy and one day you too will achieve podium status.

spins. do a bunch of spins. 540s are impressive also try some corked tricks. grabs make the trick look cool but they aren't nessisary if you can spin big.
