Question:

How good in general are Amazon's 'other sellers'?

They always seem to be a lot cheaper than buying direct from amazon, but is the delivery and packaging good? Does the book come on time and in the condition they've stated? Is it worth buying from the sellers rather than direct from amazon?

Thanks for your help :)

  1. I have bought several and all came timely and in good condition.

The books I was looking for were usually out of print, so this can be a good source for older books.

  2. I've probably ordered 50+ items from Amazon.

    And probably 20+ from Ebay.

I alaways use Sellers on Amazon that have a good rating.

    And I've -never- been dissappointed.

They usually ship it out faster than amazon.

It has never come anything less than what it was described as.

I still usually try to stick to Amazon though.(As A seller.)

Just because they have a name to uphold. And act as such.

Ebay has given me alot of problems.

(One seller took 3 months alone just to send it.)

But my luck with Amazon may not be yours.

I am Irish after all. :P

  3. Over the years I have started to purchase ALL my CD's from amazon's marketplace (the envelope name for all 'other sellers' on amazon). Im talking ~600 cd's. Of those, about 3 have gone missing. I definitely recommend buying from there. One of the best sellers is Caiman_USA but they ship from overseas (i live in UK) so might take a few days to arrive. But all in all my advice is definitely buy from 'other sellers'. Just make sure u read the blurb under the seller's name because some might say its a slightly different than what is advertised on the amazon description (eg paperback instead of hardback etc).
