How good is 1910 of an SAT score and should I retake it?

Question

I know 1910 is good, but I'm not sure how good.

Also, I messed up the essay. I could probably do better, but I'm afraid I might do worse. If I do worse on my second try will colleges care at all?

No, they will only take your highest score in one sitting.  If you want, you can retake, because it doesnt hurt to retake it.  That is a very good score.  Great job!!!

It should take you to the 15-30 ranked universities, which you should be totally proud of!

Maybe I am old and outdated, but isnt 1600 the highest you could get on the SAT?  1600 is a perfect score where you did not get anything wrong.

Your score of 1910 is much better than average. The average on the SAT exam is 1500. Thus, you were 410 pts above average. Although your score was above average, it is not a great score. If you are planning on applying to any of the prestigious schools across the country, I would highly recommend that you prep more for the exam. As aids for studying for the SAT exam, try using tutorfox.com's sat guide and the princeton review's sat guide. Tutorfox.com sells its guide for only 10 dollars, and it written by two students who scored a 2400 and a 2350 on the exam. The Princeton Review's sat guide sells for about 15 dollars, and helps students tackle problems they are unfamilar with. Let me know if you need any more help and/or info. With a bit more studying your score will sky rocket...so get to it.
