How good is Pokemon Mystery Dungeons: Explorers of Time/Darkness?

I haven't gotten these games yet because I don't know if they are worth the money. I need to know if they are good games to get, what the differences are in the games, which one is better, and starter Pokemon in these games.

It's actually one of the best games despite the reviews the only thing that gets me frustrated is that after you're done with the main storyline the storyline of the other missions just don't really matter anymore.

These games are good but once you have completed the story mode you will get bored with it and just play something else. It's only good for a brief period of time then you get tired of it.
