Properly built, a ferro boat can be a cheap way to get into a larger class of vessel than what you'd normally be able purchase given the same amount of money as compared to traditional hull materials. I'm not sure exactly what you're after in your question here. Are you asking about durability? A ferro boat  gets stronger with age as the cement cures. That takes about 25 years before the hull actually has cured fully. You start off with a strong hull and it only gets better. There's no gel coat that blisters, no wood that rots or metal that rusts. If you hit something with the vessel...that something sinks, usually not you.

    The downside, they can be heavy and slow to handle but that will also depend to a large degree on the skill of the builder. If you're good with forms and finishing, the final weight will be comparable to a similar sized vessel made of just about any material.
