812 is a very good credit score but score is not all there is people must also have the correct profile to go with the score or it's worthless.

I look at credit every day and see people every month with very high scores that can not buy a car because their score is made up of 1 credit card with a $500.00 limit paid 15-times and a couple of student loans.

While this type of profile generates a great score it doe's not show the ability or willingness to actually pay anyone.

People need 3 credit card accounts (revolving) with balances below 30% of their limits and 2 cars, boats, homes, computers, furniture, motorcycles or personal accounts (installment) all with good long pay history's to have the very best score and profile.

OK, obviously some more information is required.

FICO scores from 300 to 850 with anything that calculates to below 300 defaulting to a 0.

Scores are based on the following factors;

1. Payment history  35%

2. Time in the bureau  15%

3. Types of credit   10%

4. New credit  10%

5. Debt to credit ratio  30%

800 is the max. so something you are reading wrong

EDIT : I assume it is your FICO score and not your vantage score  because FICO ranges from 300-850. Vantage goes all the way to 990. All the posts assume it is your FICO score not not Vantage Score.
