how good is it as i am going there on my holiday on the 23rd this month

I think it's lovely - you may have to be quite rude to the Time Share reps though to make them go away! Do not accept ' scratch cards' from them - they will then just harass you to death!

The beaches are lovely - the weather is fantastic and the Water Park is the best one in the canaries

I consider it silly to ask such a question if you already know that you're going. Had you asked before I would have told you details of what is expecting you there: Plenty of tourist traps, third class tourism, cheap and dirty hotels. The island as such is beautiful anyway. Look out for some secluded beaches on the Northern shores.

sorry but i hate it-i stayed mainly in playa de ingles and its one of the worst places ive ever stayed-there are more prettier places tho but for me i wouldnt book to go again

Well I can help and give you some ideas what to do and where to go. Hope your going to Puerto Rico this is the best place to go on the Island. Playa Del Ingles is just for binge drinkers Maspalomas you would spend a fortune getting to places.

I live in Balcon Amadoras in Puerto Rico overlooking the best beach on the island Amadoras Beach which has white coral sand and will not burn your feet and the sea is blue. Beaches get busy weekends the Canarians come down from the north of the island. However I am back in the SE of England at the moment be back later in the year.

This is a bit difficult as you did not say if it is a family holiday or Guys or Girls But lets give you some tips.Mogan on Fridays its market day and is a very pretty fishing village known as Little Venice.

Best way to get there is by ferry from one of the harbours in Puerto Rico there are two cost is about 9€ return and you have a chance to see the dolphins.

A trip into the mountains is spectacular the scenery changes constantly with the pine forests, lakes and if you manage to reach the top Pico Nieves 1,975 metres above see level you could be in the clouds for 5min and then in bright sunshine watching the canary's and a view of most of the island and Tenerife.

There are various boat trips from party boats and fishing boats most come with a meal and drinks included.

You could do a show the Black and Red show at the casino in Melonaras or Garbos in St Augustin or even a trip to Sioux City. If you book these trips direct you will save about 20%

Buses are cheaper than taxis for about 3/4€ you can go miles and most drivers speak some English. A good bar I used to do the entertainment there is the Harbour Lights next to the chemist in the Puerto Escala harbour as you go down to the beach English owned do good food. If you have not got transport from and to the airport I can arrange that for you from 35€ a trip

The best weather for sure. Wear a lot of SPF. Beaches are great: playa del ingles, maspalomas you can walk from one end to the other about 6-7km. Puerto Rico, Mogan. Night life and activities at beach, surfing, water ski. The island is beautiful. I think is worth to take a day to drive around the island.
