he played his first full year with an undetected diabetes disease.... he lost weight and stamina, and power of strength... he had no true number 1 wr after walker went down,it just so happened B marsh emerged... stokley missed time, rod was out,and the o line was all messed up.. no real number 1 RB ,a first year undrafted freeagent started,or played the majority, with the peg leg henry often hurt.... so i ask you, diabetes ,bad o line with injuries, and inconsistancy at wr ,and no experience at RB, along with a real bad year of defense and poor SP teams field position... how good is Jay cutler that he can lead us to 7 wins , 20 TD's and just barely under 3500 yards.... his team failed him miserably last year, what if they were playing at least solid... what if all those areas improve along with his health ... how good is he that he dealt with all that and managed a solid 7 and 9 as a first year starter..? no bias,no bull ish,be straight up honest....

  1. I doubt he'll do very well. shanahan will just continue to play games with the rb's, and the only help he has is marshall.

  2. The Broncos were a frustrating team to watch in 2007. They beat teams that were really good and lost to teams that were really bad.

The bad: I think Cutler needs to make better reads on the field. He seems to only look for his big WR (was Walker in 2006, Marshall in 2007). The number of balls that were thrown at Marshall were really high and Stokley and the RBs got their yards and rec. by catching the ball every chance they got. I think Stokley got open a lot last season and Cutler didn't find him. I hope Stokley remains our #3 WR and Cutler finds him in mismatches all day in 2008. He isn't patient/comfortable in the pocket. He didn't checks down enough and tends to force some throws. 11 fumbles in a season isn't good either (only 4 lost luckily). I saw a lot that he needs to improve on last year. Consistancy would be nice too (he had some great games and horrible games).

The good: rocket arm, the accuracy is almost perfect, his leadership and character are great talents and he reminds me of a young John Elway. He doesn't quite have the come from behind and winning games by himself down yet, but he has the strong arm, some mobility, and is the kind of guy that has the ability to succeed under pressure. He was really good outside the pocket in 2007 too.

Overall: yeah, he went threw a lot in 2007 as did the whole team (as you mentioned). The good news is that all of his negitives can be fixed. The running game in 2008 should be better. D Jax should be a reliable #2 (great at route running, but he needs to hold onto it when it comes). The line was improved threw the draft and hopefully Nalen comes back 100%. I don't see the defense getting any better so I'm keeping my expectations low for 2008, but the offense should keep us from having a losing season. The linebackers that we got better be good. I was a fan of Gold and Wilson so B. Bailey and Kout better step up (we really need to stop the run this year).

  3. um i think jay cutler will be a good QB, if the broncos can rebuild fast enough

  4. He will be a sleeper this whole year
