How good is the Sidekick 2008?

I'm getting a new phone, but not sure if sidekicks are really realiable. I was wondering if i should go with the sidekick 2008 or maybe the blackberry pearl.

I would say that it depends on what you use the most. I had the pearl earlier this year and I hated it. It was hard for me to text, the phone always froze up, and the messengers had a delay. I just got the new sidekick 2008 and I love it. It give you easy access to all of your emails, the web is a decent speed, it has photo/video capability, It plays mp3s, and comes with 3 messengers already on it. I have no complaints about it yet. It does everything I need it to do. With the pearl you will probably have to download most of the software to get it to do anything close to what the sidekick already does. Hope that helped you.
