How good is the food from Sonic?

We dont have any Sonic's in NY but, the commercials are funny so a couple of us are considering driving out to NJ to try their food.

How good is their food? In the realm of fastfood, is it better than mcdonalds or white castle?

i dont really like there food so much.. but you HAVE to try there milkshakes, smoothie (strawberry banana smoothie is my favorite!) and there other drinks like that!! THERE SO GOOD

Their chicken sandwiches are a little mushy and squished. They used to have cinnamon rolls snacks and oh I loved them, but their fries and chicken sandwiches need some love.

sonic is very good but the food is a little over greased

ok first i have to say that I'm not a gross greasy food junky type of girl. sonic is one of the only fast food places that i will eat at. the food there is great. i feel like I'm eating something healthy when i get one of their fruit slushes instead of ordering a large soda like in most other fast food places. eating at sonic is also a great experience because its like no other restaurant. you order from your car and the waitresses actually rollerskate out to bring your food to you! i love sonic and i always stop when i see one. which is almost rare. i wish there were more in my area.

Sonic is yummy, but I'll always have love for Mickey D's. I love the strawberry limeade and cheese sticks from Sonic.

their drinks are the best.

the food is normal. but my husband thinks they have the best fast food chicken sandwich.  i dont eat fast food, but i LOVE their strawberry limeade.

Idk bout white castle but mcdonalds... well it's definetly different. You should definetly have a try you might like it :) i know i do!!

its a h**l of allot better than McDonald's. we don't have a white castle in dallas but my wife says that nothing can compare to white castle!!

Sonic has great corn dogs, burgers, and I think that is all the "food food" I have had from there.  Their food is better than Mc Donalds.

I personally find their ice cream/slushies not very good.  DQ is alot better.

But that is my opinion.

I have no idea, because like you we don't have any sonics (CT) but we see the commercials ALL THE TIME! It's kind of annoying really.

It's pretty good...WAY better than McDonlad's (which I think is gross)

Their Strawberry Slush is kickass and their fries are pretty good too

White Castle is god compared to any fast food c**p, and you know this mannnn!!! but yea i have a friend that works at one and she says theres roaches around and they used old burger patties to put in the chili... sounds gross!!

Sonics food is good as h**l!!..Their burgers are huge! Omg, and you have to try the caramel java chiller! It is so d**n good. Yes, gooo I'd rather eat there than Mcd's and White Castle...they are so much better!

Edit: Like dude!...they put old beef patties in the chili at ALL fast food places..duh! Call and ask wendys, they do it too. There's nothing wrong with that! You eat leftovers at home right? Same thing...

Worse than McD's, better than White Castle. I like Sonic. It's a little greasy, but I like it a fair amount. Good icecream, and good breakfast too!

It is completely disgusting and the workers are rude as way as the managers and when you email and complain (I was overcharged and then they argued with me about it)  and tell them you will never go back again because of being overcharged, given cold greasy food, they sent you a card for a free sm hamburger.  They not only suck they are stupid.

I don't like it that much, honestly.  It's too expensive and the food isn't that much better than your typical fast food place.  If you're planning on driving a long distance to go there, I'd reconsider.

well i think its better than McDonald's in certain ways. the chicken is better than the nuggets at McDonald's. i think they have a better variety though

uh, never heard of white castle and i wouldn't even dare stepping foot in mcdonalds but...

the burgers are considerably disgusting but if you are starving to death they would taste really, really good.

the fries, onion rings and mozzarella sticks are quite good, actually.

just a regular grease trap

but all of the drinks, smoothies, blizzards, and such are incredibly tasty and worth driving around a bit.

i think sonic is SOOO much better than mcdonalds and i've never had white castle, so i cant compare that.  i grew up eating there and they are much fresher (they actually cook the food when you order it).  if you are bored enough to make the drive, i would like to suggest a few things to try that have always been yummy.

-blue coconut slush (may also be known as an ocean water slush)

-the chicken fingers meal (be sure to get the gravy and dip the chicken and fries in it---yummo!)

-bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito

-chilli cheese coney

-popcorn chicken

-corn dogs

-moz sticks

-banana cream pie milkshake

---few notes, many of their shakes and slushes actually have real fruit in them which typically makes it much better and also, they serve the entire menu all day (so you can get a cheeseburger at 7am or a breakfast burrito at 11pm)
