  1. I think it's a great gun. It's really new so likely not a ton of info out there on it. But it's getting good reviews.

It is basically a Bushmaster as Remington and Bushmaster are now owned by the same parent company.

I nearly bought one, but decided on the Rock River Arms instead.

The RRA seemed to have more upgrades at a little lower price.

    just my 2 cents worth.

  2. I have not tested the gun personally, however, if you go to www.predatormasters.com, and do a search for the posts of Byron South, you can have quite a bit of reading on the subject of how it was developed, his range reports, and the differences between the R-15 and the other AR's on the market today.

Byron is an avid predator hunter from Texas that actually worked with Remington on the design of the R-15.  It is not 'just like a Bushmaster', as there are distinct differences between the Remington AR and the Bushmaster firearms.

Cerberus Capital Mgmt. actually purchased Remington Arms, Bushmaster and DPMS within the last 2 years.

I believe it is a great gun based on what I have read, and trust Byron's opinion.  If I had not already had an AR-15 on order from a gunsmith, I would have already purchased an R-15.

I believe if you want one, get one now before the election.  I have a bad feeling that if Mr. Obama is elected, we will have another ban on these types of firearms like we saw in 1994.

    Good Luck!

  3. ummm well its actually a bushmaster, with the remington name on it. a few companies where bought out, remington and bushmaster being two of them. so its just as good as a bushmaster....

I cant remember all the companies in the buyout but his has to do with a guy who owns chrysler.. I'll try to get ya more info and post it.
