  1. Would Jay Boumeister improve your chances? If so get on the phone to Fletcher in Toronto. Maybe a three way deal can be worked out that will send Jay to Vancouver and McCabe to Florida.

    Edmonton and Calgary please note.

  2. The Canucks chances are slim to none. I'd have to say they have as good of a shot as the Leafs do this year. Not even Kyle Wellwood can help the Canucks.

  3. It's getting to be less then 0 by this point...

  4. They Can Win it All!!!!!!!!!!!

Offense: D Sedin, H Sedin, Demitra, Bernier, Raymond, Kesler, antleast one other new 50+ player

Grit: Hordichuk, Burrows, Bieksa, Mitchell, Johnson, Davison, Bernier, Kesler, etc., etc.

Defence: Ohlund, Salo, Bieksa, Mitchell, and Edler

They sound like a cup contender so far... Oh yeah and um........

    ROBERTO LUONGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. they sucked to begin with and now they're short naslund and linden. the canucks are hopeless unless they somehow get brian burke to come back.

  6. well since it is a new season and they have all there D back i think there chances are still pretty low but higher than last year. 100% theyll make the playoffs this year as long as D stay healthy and Luongo does have another kid.

  7. well if they sign shannahan and sundin they would be amazing to  get them both and they need to sign some good defensemen and luongo needs to have a vezina year

  8. Any team that has Luongo is dangerous. The problem that they have is known as the Detroit Red Wings.

  9. There chances would be better if Sundin signed, but it still wouldn't be great. Their roster might be a bit different but I don't see where its better.

  10. none what so ever unless sackic comes dere and luongo has a vezina trophy kind of year

  11. 1:30

Every team's a contender in October.

  12. NO

  13. Let's put it this way:

If our chances of winning the cup were that great Mats Sundin would have signed with us by now.  Vancouver is a great city with great fans so we know that is not the issue.  Clearly Sundin realizes that he is 37 years old and this is probably his final NHL contract because soon his body will not permit him to play pro hockey anymore.  While Vancouver is offering him the most money he knows that we are not close to winning a cup and by signing with us he would pretty much be remembered for being a great player and leader but his name would never be etched into the Stanley Cup.

Vancouver's time will come but it will still be awhile.  All I can hope is that we are able to re-sign Luongo after his current contract is up because without him our quest for the cup will take much longer.
