i think Ben graham has done really well making it in the NFL,but i wouldn't put him into the champion category as far as AFL is concerned,a good solid player big kick good mark- yes but champion in the same category as say a Wayne Carey or Gary ablett-no.

In the AFL Benny was a brilliant player at times who was occasionally criticised for not having enough mongrel in him. He's a very nice bloke with great natural ability, a prodigiously long kick, clean hands & a good leap.

His ability was better suited to the backline but Geelong were in dire need of forward structure so he was thrown there for much of the second half of his Geelong career.

Although I am no a Geelong fan, Ben Graham was a brilliant player, a great long kick, but unfortunately not in the class of the likes of Wayne Carey.

Like Carey, Ben can play either in the back half or the foward lines, I prefered him in forward lines myself,Maybe geelong has not done well in the past with him because they had Ben in back too often.
