How good of an Anti-Virus is AVG?

Question

I downloaded AVG today and I just want to know how good it is. To be more specific, I download AVG 8.0, I paid for it as well it's not the free version. Will my computer be protected from spyware, viruses, hackers and all of that stuff? Oh, and is Norton a lot better than AVG? Thanks to all who answer.

Hi daniella, AVG is the best antivirus program. Since you bought a paid version, it would have a capability of removing adwares,spywares and torjans. However to be on a safer side, also install Spybot-Search&Destroy. IN combination AVG and Spybot provide ultimate security to your system, Also Spybot immunizes your system from future threats, which AVG doesn't. However there are both upsides and downsides of both the softwares, Spybot is completely free. But I recommend using it in combination. it is very lite on your systems memory.

AVG is a wonderful program. In my opinion, it's better than Norton because it doesn't slow down your computer NEAR as much as Norton does. Great purchase.

AVG is great! i downloaded a free one yesterday. Ad-aware, Spybot are great also! AVG protects you alot ! Well, i have heard that Norton may protect you from somethings and secretly let Viruses and Spyware in.. IDK i Just Heard It. Hoped i Helped! <3
