I think RSA showed the world a great performance. Their discipline was impressive, kicking great, rotated their team, no injuries, and actually stood off when Robinson did his hammy.

Great stuff RSA you're looking very impressive - I'm pretty sure you resisted the temptation to put another 30 points on the board. Smart game.

  1. I thought it was a great performance to, despite england's lacklusture effort. They did seem to resist the temptation to put more points on the board. The scoreline could have been a complete blowout.

I also admired how they stood off Robinson when he did his hammy. They could have absolutely smashed him but the players showed alot of respect and sportsmenship.

No matter what people say about how good SA played or how woeful England are at the moment you cannot go past a clean scoresheet. Not conceeding a single point is an amazing statisitic for any team playing against any team.

  2. south africa have had a great year. we owned the super 14 and tri nations with our 3rd team we gave australi and all blacks a major run for there money. so against england who have played like c**p this year it was no competion. we played at our best and the score shows that.

  3. They were good but I think England were terrible.

I actually thought England could win until I saw the game.  The forwards were good at set pieces but slow to the breakdown.  The backs were appalling, run the ball out of there own 22 then kick it when they are into the oppositions 22.  How ridiculous.

I definitely don't think the All Blacks will be worried about South Africa.  They weren't that crash hot and still aren't.

  4. Yes RSA were very good tonight but against a poor poor team, i would of like to seen more points from a back line that had both more speed and skill then there counterparts because against a more skilled team such as NZ or AUS you will not get as much turnover ball or gaping holes in the defence (1st try) The discipline was exceptional though not one penalty in kicking range for which i applaud the team. Percy Montgomery really needs to stop kicking drop goals when they are not the best option though especially when near the halfway line. RSA will go far as the two teams i have mentioned that they should fear are going to end up in the other half of the drawer

  5. They did seem to play a very measured game, doing only what they had to to ensure the win but in a manner that left others knowing they had more in the tank.  England were lacklustre tonight. I had expected them to fight harder. They didn't seem to be able to dig deep and I doubt their morale is in a good state now.

  6. You do not have to be good when you are playing a c**p side like England

  7. Average , with the way England played , Aussie or NZ would have put 70 odd points on them, I reckon SA could have too , but didn`t really want to show their hand just yet.

Still, it was a good win.

  8. South Africa looked sharp and have certainly made everyone know they've come prepared!  England, however, what a disappointment watching the 2003 RWC winners perform like that.  I don't think it surprises too many of us anyway, their build up has been of a poor standard too.

  9. I think they were really disciplined and impressive all together.  They showed good sportsmanship and they were very supportive.  I also think man of the moment Monty did some really good kicking and I think the whole Boks side played fantastic.  Their perfomance just made a really good start to the weekend.  It's quite easy for me to say this cause I am South African. My wife(who is an Aussie) got so excited she almost went into labour with our first child.  Great stuff my boys keep it up.

  10. Brilliant. just what you expect from the best team in the world

  11. South Africa looked impressive against a woeful England side. I didn't see anything new from them though, be mindful 3 tries came from mistakes. In the end it was a war of attrition and it was the superior might of the Boks that rampaged England. I am a NZer and will always support our ABs, and for mine not much can be read into that game at all, except that it is more of the same from the Boks

  12. the boks were efficient, not a world beating performance yet. england were dreadfull so it may be a bit decieving to say it was a brilliant display

  13. Go Bokke. I'm going to check the site now!

Nice post. I gave you a star. I'm living in Aussie, and the games are all so late at night.

  14. As a kiwi I would like to congratulate our SANZAR friends from RSA. A very good performance and I hope our two sides will meet in a hopefully very intense final.

I knew RSA would win, but not by 36 points and not with England having 0

  15. well i think that RSA played a great all round game but really u cant judge that preformance consisering they had an easy team to play against when they play a real team we can talk about how go RSA is.I think Nz will meet them in the final that will b a gud game if it happens.
