Question:

How great is my chance at getting caught with nipple piercings at Basic Training for the Air Force?

I am concerned with the 'open' showers. I also have a C**t hood piercing. How would you recommend me concealing them without having to take them out? I just got my hood piercing & my nipples have been done for several months, I just don't want them to close up. Thanks.

  1. You'll def get caught!! First off your TIs will see you shower and they probably show through sports bras! Your better off taking them out and getting them redone!

  2. You will get caught.  They catch everything in basic.  Better to deal with it now, instead of in basic.

  3. You will be caught - I repeat caught. You will be the joke of Basic Training. It WILL get infected. You will probably get a undesirable nick name, by your TI or fellow training mates.

Honestly, if you do not take them out. I would question your ability to follow rules period in the AF. They want obedient airmen, who will sacrifice for their country. You can replace your "unseen" piercings back into place, but the nipple one cannot stay. Their snug fit uniforms will tell on you. So please do yourself, and squad a favor.

  4. So how do you plan to pass the physical?  If the piercings are "fresh" the docs will know and can refuse to let you process until they are completely healed over.

If you manage to get through there, I would strongly urge you to remove them.  They are against regs..you would have to remove them during duty hours, could not have them on for any doc appointments and again, they would know the holes are "fresh" and being used, so would order you to let the close.  As for basic...you are going to be climbing, crawling, running, sweating.  Showers will be fast and the chances of infection will increase.  Additionally, the possibility of a snag or tear is increased because of the activities you will have to do.  If you want to serve, they will have to go..something I am guessing you know and are hoping to sneak by.  Believe me, the AF is the least tolerant of all the branches over these issues...save yourself the article 15 and remove them now.

  5. 100%.  they are not authorized and you WILL be required to remove them for the entire time.

also, you are NOT authorized to wear them while in uniform..ever.

  6. Take them out and live without them.  It's part of being in the military.

If you want them that bad, then don't join.

You could try taking them out when someone might see them then put them back in when you are "safe", but that would be years of a great amount of effort. Especially since they could be visible not only in the shower, but when swimming, in tight fitting clothing, or when it is cold.

I can't image how you could hide them the entire time you are in.

  7. When I was going through Navy boot camp, at least one recruit who had piercings resorted to taking the little plastic strings from the tags on his uniforms and putting them in the holes. Another guy I knew went to NJP for "destruction of government property." When I asked him what he destroyed, he said, "myself." Turns out someone didn't like his nipple piercings too much. And when I joined the Navy Reserves, I had to get a waiver for my five tattoos (all of which I got while on active duty).

You'll probably be able to hide a hood piercing okay, but the nipples will be tougher. Be warned that the military as a whole has, in the last five years or so, become very intolerant of body modifications in general (though they often look the other way when it comes to tattoos that have a military theme). If I was you, I'd decide if keeping the piercings or joining the Air Force is more important.

  8. When you get your physical at MEPS before you ship..........they are gonna know...........

  9. This is what my husband said " In basic for the first three weeks I  was not allowed to shower. Our shower time was spent doing PT naked while Drill SGTs were in there walking back and forth. Plus I have no piercings on my body parts and they were nasty enough I am glad I didn't. You get all kinds of c**p on you when you don't shower for three weeks and the are smoking you 24 hours a day. Get used to using hand sanitizer to wash yourself. I don't know how they are in Air Force but that's what its like in OSUT."

So you should take it out or take the chance of getting major infections and being humiliated. Good Luck!!

  10. In a way u are caught now. It will be inevitable. There will be no way to hide anything

  11. if you dont take it off, it will get infected- i doubt you want your vagine infected-

in basic you will be sweating 24/7 so hygiene is important- just take the nipple rings and C**t rings or whatever else you have out and put it back whenever you graduate basic- that also turns me on

also in basic they have other basic trainees assigned as team leaders/informants so when those people see you in the showers trying to hide it they will definitely tell on you!!!! and you will be in big trouble- save yourself from the heart ache and take it out if it does close then get it re pierced later

  12. dude....thats hot.

  13. Don't worry about the open showers, they will catch you on the MEPS physical.

Either get them cauterized so they don't close up or just take them out.

Good luck & thanks for serving.

  14. Definitely take them off!!!
