  1. Now why do so many people think Seabiscuit was such a great horse. He wasn't like "over the top" great. I mean yeah, he beat Triple Crown winner War Admiral in a match race but still;

Anyway, I actually think Barbaro would've done very, very well when it comes to his racing, if he had never broken down on May 20. I mean, he was undefeated into and out of the Kentucky Derby, plus, he won it by the greatest lead in 60 years.

Even though we've had simular horses like him, he was the one we all knew would be able to do it...

I think a lot of people really knew that Barbaro would've won the Triple Crown, they just don't want to admit it because its just such a hard thing to do and you can't always just, hand it over to a horse to do such a thing. Even though we all believed he most likely would have won it, we will never find out. And thats one of the things that hurts us most about his death is that, we never found out how great he could've really become. Plus all them eight long and hard, painful months, was really worth nothing.

But them eight months were what made Barbaro who he really was. And that's the biggest thing he is remembered for. Is for his race to live.

Now that I made myself clear. =]

I think that Barbaro would've been a better racehorse then Seabiscuit. And my explanation above explains that all.

RIP Barbaro. We all miss you very, very much! =[

I thought about you alllll day long.

    Rest In Peace♥

  2. Okay personally I am a huge fan of Seabiscuit. I think it was a great story of how a unknown trainer, unknown jockey, and a rich business man came together and found the broken, not such a great built horse called Seabiscuit. We will never know how great Barbaro really was. He had such a short life on the race track. Barbaro and Seabiscuit are different, but they have the same characteristics- a will to win. Barbaro was amazing and I think he would have been as great as Seabiscuit.

  3. Lets be honest for a moment, Seabiscuit was NOT a "great" racehorse.  In the ratings of horses that ran in the 20th Century, Seasbiscuit does not even feature in the Top 200 horses in the world, and comes only 68th out of all the horses in America.

Sadly we will never know how good Barbaro could have been.  He may have flopped after his exertions in the Kentucky Derby or he may have gone on to win the Breeders' Cup Classic and been crowned an Eclipse Champion.

While I know a lot of people thought a lot of the horse, we have to move on and accept that he is gone and we will never know how good he could have been.

Look at what happened to George Washington - a multiple G1 winning horse, but a flop at stud, put back into training only to meet his end at Monmouth Park.  They always say

the brightest stars burn the shortest.

  4. h**l yeh he would of been a legend

  5. Time won't let that be known..but remember John Henry this last year.. o what a great horse, The famous Copper King's "Tammany" was also great as well. Bold Ruler was dynamic as was War Admiral and Man o war.

You will find they were much better then Sea Bisquet.

  6. Firstly seabiscuit is overrated!

The question should be would Barbaro have gotten within a furlong of Secretariat - the greatest horse to race in the US?

You can't compare those two. There are only two horses as three year olds that would be worthy to match against Secretariat and they are Phar Lap and Tulloch. And I would put my money on Tulloch - The best three year old ever to race.
