The governement and the greens go on about UK hobbling itself with environmental restrictions. They admit that these expensive anti-competitive restrictions will make no direct difference to the globabl environment. However they say that it must be done to demonstrate to the rest of the world (particularly China) that it can be done, and that these other countries will then follow the UK example. So my question is -- how green do we have to get for any one else in the world to take any notice, and then follow our example?
