How hard/easy is it to install a new cooktop.....?

Question

replacing an old one with a new one. Only Difference is the new one is solid glass and the old one has the coil type burners. It is electric.

Is it just a matter of pulling up/out the old and unplug and replug the new?

Cook tops are not usually plugged in however there are exceptions the new one won't have a plug if the old one does it could probably be put on the new one.With that being said look under your cabinet and see.Chances of it dropping right in are slim but you can measure the cutout of the old one most manufactures provide online specs.for new products.Have worked in appliance businessfor many years GOOD LUCK BE SAFE TURN OFF POWER TO THE UNIT!
