I'm going to be taking it at the same time with AP Calculus AB. Is that going to be helpful?

  1. hard

  2. Calculus will definitely help. I've never taken it (freshman here), so I can't say for the difficulty. I've heard it is pretty tough though. It will help if you've taken a physics course beforehand and did well in it.

  3. AP Physics is hard but at the same time its easy to understand because it is put in situations. I took it (I'm totally not a math or science person) and i enjoyed it and had a fairly good grade. I just don't know anything about the Calc part though..

My friends that took AP algebra n Stats said it helped a little bit.

  4. It depends on you.  I took AP Physics B last year, as a junior, along with pre-calculus and I ended up getting an A in the class and a 5 on the exam and I am a very math-science oriented student.  The math is not hard at all, you will not need calculus, you will just need to know algebra, geometry, and trigonometry such as plugging numbers into equations, solving triangles, etc. but the concepts entailed by physics are very difficult and confusing.  If you are able to understand the physics concepts well then you will succeed in the class but if you find it hard, then you will have to study a lot and work extra hard on practice problems and always ask your teacher questions.  In general you will have do a lot of practice problems and make sure that you read the book because it will really help you out.

  5. it is very difficult and may help with Calculus
