How hard is Algebra 2?

Having passed Geometry as a freshmen I realized that the first semester of that class was kind of difficult to me. Now I wonder going as a sophmore, how hard is Algebra 2 compared to geomerty? Are there any specific skills I should practice over the summer to be succesful in the class?

Geometry and Algebra 2 are completely different mathematics courses. While geometry is more visual, algebra II is more technical in steps. If you thought geometry was hard, you'll probably do better in Algebra II, but you must realize that Algebra II and Algebra I are very apart in level of difficulty, meaning that Algebra II is much harder than Algebra I. Also depends on your teacher though. Good luck.

I have taken both Geometry and Algebra 2 already and I must say that Algebra 2 is quite a step up in difficulty from Algebra 1. In my school I had to take Algebra 2 first before Geometry which doesn't make much sense but based on my experience Algebra 2 seems to be easier since my Geometry teacher was incredibly hard. People like me who are better at solving functions and graphs than doing things like proofs may have an easier time in Algebra 2. You don't have to but I reccomend that you brush up on skills such as factoring and drawing graphs since you'll be doing a lot of graphing in this class.

If you thought Geometry is hard, chances are your going to love Alg2, because stats show that people who think geom is hard love alg2.

But i dont believe in that, and i think alg2 is a breeze by.

maybe its because i just like math, but its not that hard.

Its common for some people to be good at geometry but bad at algebra, and vice versa.  I found Alg 2 to be challenging at times, but I ended up with an A. I also had a really great teacher.  Before school starts, you may want to brush up on basic algebra.  I would make sure you understand terms and basic skills.
