How hard is Dutch, if your a native English speaker?

I mean learning any language is somewhat difficult but because of their common background, it is a bit easier in this case. Both Dutch and English are Germanic languages and you will notice some similar words off the bat however there are still a lot of differences between the two. Overall, it shouldn't be TOO hard but I wouldn't say you will learn it within a few weeks or anything, haha. Good luck! :)

I have to say that depends from person to person, how driven you are to learn, how fast of a learn you are, etc. But it's not too hard! ;) They both are germanic, so some words you'll find very similar. I'd love to speak Dutch, but I haven't really learned it yet. I've learned some of it fairly easy, but I stopped. And honestly, it's really easy!

Its like learning any language, except since its german and close to english it will be much easier. If you're completely focused and driven to learning it, I'd give it a difficulty of 5 or 6 on a 1-10 scale.
