Ok I am asking another question. How hard is it to get into a Japanese university if I am American but I can speak Japanese or even places like TUJ?

  1. Not very, if you can keep up with the Japanese. Even if you can't, you'll learn it quickly since you'll need it to survive.

I thought about transferring to Hiroshima U.

  2. not that hard.  infact the japanese frequently nick name university "vacation" compared to their primary school (primarily high school) because the hard part is getting into college

  3. For an American yes, because obviously your not Japanese with or without learning the language. It's nothing like the US. Like I said before, some tried to come down to the US and most of them get treated pretty bad. So when someone comes to their country that's not Japanese they reciprocate back the same kind of treatment that they got. I came to the U.S. 24yrs ago and up to now I still hear those stupid Asian jokes. I am always going back in forth from the U.S. to Japan on business and every time I come to the U.S. it's the same c**p. Of course there are some that will try to welcome you but the odds are probably not. For the most part they'll just ignore you. If your one that respects Japan then by all means come down and check us out. But for the others that disrespect, it is them that ruins it for the good ones.

  4. If you are fluent in japanese you will go good.

You will have to do the entrance test like any regular student (you will be treated as any japanese, dont expect a special exception for you) and in almost all japanese universities the test is written and spoken in japanese. In some places you can download and check the past tests.

But let me tell U something, I knew an american student (he was half Filipino and half Mexican) that was placed on a regular japanese dorm and one day somebody broke in his little room and blew his computer. He was always nice but japanese students did that only because he was an american, I am not saying U this will happen to you and all japanese are mean and bad.

But living in Japan is hard.
