  1. guitar hero is the stupidest game ever and being good at it wont help u at learning real guitar.

does dance dance revolution help u get good at dancing? no.

    same thing.

  2. Ok I'm sorry to say but Guitar hero is a 4 year old version of Guitar. My bro rocks at it and beat the game on expert. He has no rhythm or musical talent what so ever. My dad was in a band in highschool-college. He is wicked good and when he tried Guitar Hero  he failed on easy! Getting the idea? lol. I sorta play guitar and your fingers will hurt like c**p.-the worst part. When you first start out it will be so painfull just to hold down one string and play a note. On Guitar Hero, you press a button. On a Guitar, you hold down a rough string in the exact place it needs to be and take a pick or your finger and strum it at the right amount of force and if you do it too lightly it will not sound right and if you do it loud it will buzz and sound like c**p. Real Guitar is about 1,000,000% Harder than that video game even though it's so fun! OH and Chords are a WHOLE DIFFERENT  Story. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. IF YOU DECIDE TO GET A GUITAR AND YOU EXPECT IT TO BE THAT DANG EASY YOU WILL BE SO SORRY YOU EVER GOT THAT GAME. IF GUITAR WAS AS EASY AS GUITAR HERO A SLOTH COULD PLAY IT LIKE A PRO. BUT IT'S NOT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED....(not to scare you.)

  3. 100% harder... it's not the same at all lol.

  4. It's cool that Guitar Hero has piqued your interest in Guitar.  The problem isn't so much that guitar is harder, but that the skills don't translate.  I am actually better at many songs on guitar than guitar hero.

Hope this helps and good luck learning.

Also, try Fender's Squire Strat or Squire Strat pack.  It is one of the best guitars for the price, affordable yet with the Fender name and quality.  http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/S...

Or, if you live near a Guitar Center, they will let you play and get the feel of a guitar before you decide to buy.
