I work long hours so it is hard to try to prepare special meals. I don't know how to cook vegetartian stuff and like it and get enough protein. I have seen some very obese vegetarians in the 7th Day Adventist Church, many who advocate abstaining from meat and dairy products. Oh,! the obese ones did eat a lot of cheese I think. No offense to my wonderful Adventist friends, but I know what I see.

  1. no....i dont like meat..i just hate the taste...

  2. it is really hard trust me i know, i tried it for 3 years and now im back to loving meeeat

  3. There is a product called Quorn, which is uncannily like meat but it is made entirely of mushrooms. I would highly recommend that for you. Just watch what you eat and try to get a balanced diet. www.allrecipes.com is a good site. You can have meals that contain meat if you replace the meat with Quorn or tofu, and there are also a lot of vegetarian recipes to try. Good luck! :)

  4. I was a vegan for about a year and if you research it and eat right it is not that hard. If you start out slow by still eating meat at least twice a week and in about 3 weeks just start eating it once a week , so on and so fourth.

  5. At first it hard but then it gets easier because you realize that you get good food like Boca burgers and veggi burgers at good places. Its really something you should think about.

  6. HAHAHA....Do NOT Be A Vegitarian.Haha thats the most stupidest thing i haver ever heard of. Like seriously haha You can die or be unhealthy ppl (people) have been eating meat for hundredas of years dont jeperdise that

    :(

  7. its not that hard, i was for like 3 years before i got pregnant.. maybe i should stop eatting cheese.... but i didnt like deer or fish or pork or turkey, so i only had to stop eating chicken and beef...

  8. It really is not that hard at all. I just recently (2 weeks) gone vegetarian for diet reasons. After a week I can feel a difference. The only kinda meat that I do eat are fish and eggs, and I don't eat them often. I left those two because I am such a meat eater before, had to have my meat with every meal practically, I couldnt even fathom the thought of not having meat in any of my meals, so I am starting out slowly by not eliminating meat totally but gradually. Also something that helped me out, hehe, I am poor so I usually do not have meat left after a few days which helped so I make meals without meat, you can make meals like you usually do but no meat or something taking the place of them, you dont have to get a recipe book for vegetarians to make veggie meals, not at all, eat the same ol stuff just replace or not even put meat into them.

  9. Why do u wana b 1 if u <3 meat so much

it really depends onhow passionate u r bout it

  10. Vegetarianism is healthier and is proved to cause a longer life but you have to make sure you get your veggies. I am a vegetarian and I find it extremely easy to be one probably because I feel bad for the animals. Someone I know is only vegetarian because she loves meat, but can't eat it because of the die that is put in it. It may be harder for these people to eat vegetarian especially if you didn't choose that lifestyle. For me, the longer I'm vegetarian the more I hate meat and forget what it tastes like so I don't care about not eating it. :)

  11. Well, I can't eat beef, steak, pork, deer, and some other things. I puke it back up. My mom learned to not buy meat anymore and turned out family into vegitarians. She makes me eat peanuts for protein. We eat a handful every day. Try to work with sides, like salads, potatoes, corn, soup (try flavoring instead of meat). I'm sure I could send you some recipes online if you would like.

Also, I gave up soda for two months, when my friends finally made me drink it. (Don't give in to pressure!) My mom still had it in the house, but I tried reaaalllly hard not to drink it and found substitutes like flavored water and on occasion chocolate milk. You'll find substitutes that you will love. Don't worry about it.

  12. if its your religion you have no choice otherwise try your best.

  13. it's not hard at all if you have motivation. if you dont have a true reason for being a vegetarian, then it wont last. i've been a veg for over a year now and it's a lot easier than I thought it would be because of the research I did.

i think a lot of the obese vegetarians are obese because of eating so much carbs. i eat a lot of carbs and in result I gained almost ten pounds! so now i'm on a diet again! lol.

  14. Honestly, it's as hard as you make it. If you think it is hard, it will be hard. If you have commitment, it will be really easy to get over the obstacle of meat. I come from a family that eat nothing but what you listed above along with alligator, rabbit, etc....Now, I really didn't eat much meat and I am a picky eater. So I guess I had a head start. If you want to go slowly, you can start by taking meat out of your diet one by one. Add more vegetables, beans and such. Once, you become a vegetarian the key is variety. Just like in every diet. You need to know how to combine such things to make a complex acid. Like eating just beans won't get you the full amount of proteins but combining it with rice will form a complex compound. Science for another day. If you don't have time to cook a lot you have always buy the 5-Ingredient Gourmet by Nava Atlas. Everything in that cookbook is fast and cheap or you can look up recipes on recipezaar.com, foodnetwork.com, veggie blogs, magazines, etc.. They have tons of recipes that will give you enough protein. Modern society makes it really easy to be a vegetarian. lol You can always eat those processed food from the frozen food section but I wouldn't recommend it. Lots of salt and too similar to meat for me...don't eat cheese to often and keep it simple

  15. Your body knows what to eat. Do not force yourself.

  16. I'd recommend natural and organic methods rather than any "vegen" form of dieting.

Such as organic cows fed on organic feed, or unpasturized milks, honeys. Or unrefined foods etc etc.

Technically vegetables have more carbohydrates than meat - aka atkins diet - and that's why you'll find vegetarians fatter than meat eaters.

Being fat isn't a bad thing, especially now that the great hunger is comming. A lot of people are going to starve to death.

  17. I don't think you should be a vegetarian.  If you're worried about the planet... reduce your meat intake by 10% each week.   Here's some vegetarian facts:

-Over 50% of the fresh water consumed in the U.S. goes to livestock.

-The grains and soybeans that are consumed by U.S. livestock alone could feed approximately 1.3 billion people.

-About 260 million acres of forest in the U.S. alone, have been cleared for livestock and their feed. It has been estimated that one acre of trees is spared each year for each person who adopts a pure vegetarian diet.

-1.6 million tons of livestock manure is produced each year, of which less than half is recycled as fertilizer. The other half seeps into the soil and groundwater. Polluting the U.S. fresh water supply.

-Livestock produce an insane amount of methane which is the second most potent "green house" gas. Thus contributing to global warming.

  18. Ignore meat and do not look at it at all. That helps.

  19. well mate i think that all vegetarians are a disgrace to the human race if you dont eat meat your a p***y
