Question:

How hard is it to become a Agricultural Specialist for CBP?

I am a recent college graduate with a BS in Biology, I took a lot of plant based classes but my gpa was not that good... only about a 2.3. I have interned with the State Dept. also.

I was already emailed saying I was qualified and eligible for an interview/test and will be contacted in 2-4 weeks if I will get to test.

What are the chances I will get to test and how hard is it to pass? Also I applied to the U.S. Virgin Islands if that matters. Looking for any info/help I can get!

  1. I would say your chances are very good.  I have friends who have applied for the CBP before.  It seems like if they get the email saying that they qualified (2 of 5 of my friends), they where hired in the end.  While only two of my friends had this happen, I would hope that you would have the same luck!

  2. I'd say that your chances are pretty good. They are hiring a lot of people. Your gpa was good enough to qualify, that's all that matters. Applying for the Virgin Islands probably won't hurt or help you much. You will be sent to where they need you the most.
