How hard is it to become a midwife?

ona scale of 1to10. i REALLY wana be a midwife its the only thing ive ever wanted to do. only thing is instead of doing it strate from school i was to lazy an imature back then an have been stuck in dead end jobs eversince! im not sure now if its 2 late being a mother of 2 youngest only 3months because of the training an shifts. is it to late?
