  1. Your problem is going to be a visa. Have a look at the Home Office website, without a degree you may struggle - unless you come as student, then you get a 1 year visa after graduation.

There is racism to a greater or lesser extent everywhere, but from what I have read no where near on the scale that happens in the US.

I teach in a college where I am often the only white person in the room and sometimes there are comments between students. The worst racism I have come across was between Jamaican and African students and that was verbal.

Although when I told one student to thank another I was told "we don't say thanks in the 'hood".

A few weeks age there was a multicultural day at the college, there was a white guy doing mendhi (Indian henna tattoos usually done by women on women) but painting Chinese characters whilst accompanied by a steel band.

In any city there are a multitude of colours, cultures, religions. In places like Cornwall and  the Scottish highlands you would probably be a bit of a novelty, as much for your accent as your colour.

  2. i was born and raised in london still live there today and no racism is not a big problem at all. There r many black people in the u.k and it is very multicultural . I don't think it's very hard to live and work here as long as you've got the right qualifications and get a work permit.
