Question:

How hard is it to get Washington Nationals baseball tickets?

I'll be visiting D.C. in a couple of weeks. I don't want to buy Nationals tickets ahead of time in case the weather is bad. Do I need to be worried about a sell-out? We have a large party (10 people).

  1. it is not hard at all to get nationals tickets--the hard part is getting rid of them. Forget scalpers, go to a ticket window on game day.

  2. I went there a couple of weeks ago and had my choice of sellers outside the stadium to buy from at less than face value.

One thing I would recommend though is to familiarize yourself where the sections are and how much the tickets cost for the section.  I probably could have gotten a better deal with better seats had I known more.

Ten people may be tough to get them all together from a scalper.  You may have to get them at the ticket office.  You shouldn't have any problems in getting tickets just before the game.

  3. I don't think it'll be that hard for you.

  4. Considering they're in last place it can't be that hard.

  5. If you call the ticket office the day of the game and ask, "What time does the game start?", don't be surprised to hear them respond with, "What time can you get here?".

  6. Nationals Park has 41,888 seats. The average attendance is between 32,000 - 36,000. It all depends on what day the game is and who the Nationals are playing. If it is a weekend and or they are playing a popular team expect the attendance numbers to be up a little.

I would not worry about it, the only "sold out" game so far was opening day.
